I can't sleep right now because I have a horrible image stuck in my head.
Last night one of the little hipster girls who lives in my building feel off the roof. For those of you who haven't been to my house... It's seven stories high and we party on the roof at least once or twice a week. We normally drink a lot up there and sometimes we lean over the edge and yell at the creeps going into frenchy's to by butt plugs and such. Anyways, at about 3:30am last night the boy and I woke up to a loud crash sound. I thought it was a car accident because no one knows how to drive on my street. I looked out my window and didn't see anything. Twenty minutes later I heard fire trucks and police cars. I look out my window again and still do not see anything... until I stick my head all the way out there to see that under my little balcony ledge thing, there is a young girl on her back... not breathing. I sat in my window and watched as they manually pumped her heart and set her up to the electrical shock things. It was the most crazy feeling in the world. That could have been me or one of my friends, I could have been on the roof that night... and most importantly.... if I would have stuck my head out all the way right when I heard it maybe I could have called 911 sooner than anyone did and that could have made a difference. (yes, I know its not my fault but I can't help but think it because the firehouse is down the street so someone didnt call right away or it wouldnt have taken them twenty minutes to get there... it was weird) When they finally took her away she looked like she might make it but I'm not sure cuz most accidents involving people falling off anymore than like 3 storys can end in death. I can't get the image of the firemen checking her pulse, cutting her shirt off and doing CPR for like 10 minutes straight. Everyone that came off the roof and got interviewed by the cops and such was clearly very intoxicated and it turns out she must have been standing on the hedge and she fell backwards. I haven't been able to find out any information of how she is doing now but I really hope she makes it.
